The June Hedditch Artist Residence is a self-contained apartment offering short-term stays to practising artists of any medium.
Located above Julia Street Creative Space, within Portland's CBD, it is a short walk to the foreshore, swimming beach, beautiful Botanic Gardens and Fawthrop Lagoon walking track.
Subsidized nightly rates of $75 (one person) and $25 (each additional person) are available all year round to qualifying artists. For every 7 nights you stay in the residence, we will gift you an additional night free.
The minimum length of stay is 2 nights.
There is no requirement to produce work while enjoying your stay, but opportunities to lead workshops are available.

The apartment is located at 19‐21 Julia Street, Portland, Victoria, above Julia Street Creative Space.
The residence features two bedrooms – a double and twin single – and a shared bathroom. The kitchen is fully-equipped with a separate living and dining area, including multiple work surfaces and an A1 drawing board with easel.
Wi-Fi internet access is provided but there is no TV in the apartment.
There is access to an adjacent meeting room with an extra large work surface for dust and oil-free practices.
Coded entry is provided for all-hours arrival.
Please note, the apartment is on the first floor with no lift access.
